Collapse

Everything is crumbling.
My world is crashing down
Around my head; my walls
Fall to the earth.
And I can do nothing.
I am powerless
Alone
Confused
Afraid
And I only want
To die,
Escape,
Fly away.
I don't know anymore
What to do or say.
I'm not sure who I am.
Every breath I take
Is careful, precise.
Inhale, exhale, repeat.
My shoulders tremble,
My hands shake,
But I won't let it show.
I've always known that when I break
Nobody can ever know.
I'll help you with your burden
I'll stand, straight and tall.
I'll keep the strain off you
And watch as my world falls.
My buildings are collapsing,
My temple is in ruins.
My city is on fire
And oh, how it burns.
