(Today someone asked me what love is; this was my response.)

Love is
When
You care about someone else's happiness
More than your own.

Love is
When
A sibling steals your chocolate every day
And you keep it in the same place.

Love is
When
You are willing to experience so much pain
So they don't have to.

Love is
When
You first worry about their needs
Before your own.

Love is
When
You are willing to compromise and understand
To make their life easier.

Love is
When
You share a special connection, understanding,
And mutual respect.

Love is
When
Your heart beats as fast as it can in euphoria
But can still feel sad together.

Love is
When
You don't want to, but are still willing
To let go.

Love is
When
Two friends who care about one another
Don't care what the world thinks.

Love is
When
Two people who want to be together forever
Join hands for strength.

Love is
When
You fall into tears on someone else's shoulder
And they tell you "It's all right."

Love is
When
Two people who really care fight together
To keep what they have.
