Blue Sky

I'm alone with my thoughts,
Beneath the blue blue sky.
Yet I'm lost in the dark,
And now I will cry.

A tear leaks out,
And a tiny gasp.
A scream and a shout,
These questions that I ask.

I feel this rain pour 'round my face,
And feel the stabbing in my heart.
I hope the blood that I now taste,
Flows only in the dark.

I open my eyes
To the light of the moon.
How I yearn to hear
My dear mother's soft croon.

I'm lost, so lost,
And now the tears flow,
I'm sad, so sad,
I hope that you know.

Oh the pain, the horrible pain,
That wracks my weakened soul,
Oh how it rips, and tears and breaks,
My heart burned black as coal.

Where is the light, the gleaming light,
That will come to take me home?
Where is the bane of the night?
Have you left me alone?
