[Untitled]

I'm all alone,
In my room.
The door's locked,
And I'm crying.

Don't Fall In Love

Don't fall in love,
If you value your joy.
Don't even think about it.
Don't fall in love
With anyone, or anything.
Fall in love with a dog;
Dogs die, we move on.
Fall in love with a cat;
Cats die, we move on.
Fall in love with a human;
You're stuck now, sorry.
Humans beat you and break you
And hurt you and fake you,
All in the name of "love."
Don't fall in love,
Because then you can't move on.
Time claims all,
And as the clocks tick
The dreams fall apart and
We grow weary and sick.
Love is a lie,
So don't fall in.
It's simply the same old story,
Told a thousand times again.
Don't fall in love,
It's a cruel game,
And Fate, the dealer,
Has notoriety, not fame.
Gamble your everything,
If you wish.
But don't put my heart up
On the table.
Don't fall in love;
Maybe you listened,
Maybe not.
Don't fall in love,
It's a tightening noose-knot.

She Couldn't Cry

Life shattered her,
Beat her,
Broke her,
But she couldn't cry.
In silence,
She walked through Hell,
And she couldn't cry.
With blood on her hands--
Her own crimson dye--
She held on to all she had left,
Yet she couldn't cry.
The agony as she fought
Wasn't enough,
To make her shed a tear,
For she couldn't cry.
She'd had her fair share;
She took the beatings;
She faced Life head-on;
Still, she couldn't cry.

A Hundred Years Late

I'm a hundred years late,
A hundred years late for you.
I could've been there,
But I was a hundred years late.
The turn of the century
Marks my last hour,
For I'm a hundred years late.
Too slow, all alone,
I'd wait for you forever,
But I'm already a hundred years late.
It felt like the blink of an eye,
A mere moment, lost in time.
Yet I'm a hundred years late.
I was never perfect;
And I wasted my time,
So I'm a hundred years late.
For me it's just beginning,
And for you it's already gone
Because I was a hundred years late.

Wish Upon a Star

Burning ball of gas,
A billion miles away,
How could you grant my wish?
Hydrogen, splitting,
A cosmic ball of heat.
You're already a hundred years
Past your expiration date.
I'm a hundred years late
To make a wish.
Wipe a tear, feel its kiss.
Atoms ripping,
Burning light.
How could you grant my wish
From a billion miles away?

Ever Lonely Will I Be

Ever lonely will I be,
As the earth turns 'round and 'round.
I'll be by myself, just little me,
Until I'm six feet under ground.

Ever lonely will I be;
I see these couples holding hands.
The years in which I'm lonély*
Are as countless as the sands.

Ever lonely will I be,
Perhaps it's my own fault--
I'm no attractive beauty**,
And I'm bittersweet like salt.

Ever lonely will I be,
Everyone can look and see,
It'll only be cute little me,
And my lack of beauty.

Don't Think Her Weak

Don't think her weak--
She's broken inside,
And she has been, for a long time;
Just now you're seeing:
She's letting you watch, watch her;
Watch her as she bleeds out,
On the cold hard ground.
Don't think her weak,
When she finally shatters.
Don't think her weak,
When her willpower's gone.
Don't think her weak,
As she falls down hard.
Don't think her weak,
For she stood too long.
Don't think her weak--
Her strength merely falters.
When her world came down,
She stood, tall, proud, strong.
When her everything crumbled,
She did not.
Don't think her weak.

Blurred Eyes

Images, faint,
Through blurred eyes.
Stinging rage,
Or sorrow inside?
Both, perhaps,
Pain evermore.
Race away,
And lock the door.
Blurred eyes,
Sweet salty tears,
How can you haunt
One with so few years?
Don't let them fall,
Don't make a sound.
Oops, too late.
I broke, I hit the ground.

Old Friends

Hello, old friends.
Tears in the night--
I knew you'd come back.
And here you are,
Blurring my sight.
Ah! My scars weren't closed,
Though I hoped they would be.
Old friends, you're cool,
As you slide down my face;
I wondered when next you'd visit me.
Sweet taste of salt,
When you brush my lips.
I'm surprised I missed you,
Old friends, say hello,
While I crumble to bits.

Don't Wake Me Up

This crazy roller-coaster ride,
Up, and down, and all around,
Don't wake me up.
Don't take me back.
You, and I,
Free in this dream-world.
Please don't wake me up.
Perfection impossible--
Yet here it is--
Pinch me,
But don't wake me up.
It can't be real,
Elation while I live through Hell,
Don't wake me up.
Let me keep my dream
Till dawn's soft fingers
Stir me from my rest.
Don't wake me up.

Small World

(Dedicated to Wizard101 friends)

There you are,
Far away.
Time zones,
Gaps in our lives.
Yet
Here you are.
What a small world.
Age of internet,
Wires, satellites, broadband.
We made it a small world.
Take it all,
Connect us all,
And somehow
We care for one another.
Though we never touched,
Never heard one another,
Except through text on-screen,
And maybe a video call.
We made this huge world
Into our own small world.
